July 9, 2018 Kapil was instrumental in getting Camila’s visitor visa approved, after her initial application was denied. With the help of immigration lawyer, Camila was finally granted entry. But what Kapil didn’t know was that Camila was running from the law—wanted for an 8-year prison sentence for smuggling 24kg of cocaine. In addition, by coming to Canada, she knowingly abandoned her son, Jose, as returning to Bolivia would mean immediate arrest. Camila came to Canada hoping for a fresh start, but as you will soon see – once a criminal, always a criminal. Of course, Camila misrepresented herself by lying to Canadian immigration officials, failing to disclose her criminal past and the fact that she was a fugitive on the run.
